  Student-Developed Resources at UC Berkeley

♣ Final Distance
˜ A student-developed schedule generator for UC Berkeley, and essentially takes all the pains out of Telebears planning. Founded by Patrick Shyu. Publicity-wise, it has appeared in 3 publications, is used by thousands of students, and started a SIMS graduate study on automated schedule design.

˜ A student-developed interface. Helps students during Telebears by visualizing the schedules. It is perhaps the most well-known online student resource.

Berkeley Book Exchange

˜ A student-developed textbook classifieds network. An online trading place for students to trade books with each other. There are currently 4,000 users on the system.

♣ UCB Live
˜ A campuswide event finder and club calendar Web site launched in October 2003, which works to build online community (sponsored by the Computer Science & Business Association).
